The League of Women Voters:  A Voice for Citizens, A Force for Change

Mission:  The League of Women Voters, a non-partisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

History:  Since its founding in 1948, the League of Women Voters of Delaware County has been an active force in the community, educating voters and supporting involvement in the key issues of the day.  In 1998, the League created the Melva Hunter Education Fund to provide for tax-deductible contributions to support educational programming.
